Title: Kayak Modifications of Delta and Seaward
Category: Recreational
Description: Kayaks used for all disabled people require pontoons for stability. Kayaks used for people with limited upper body movement on one side can still paddle to some extent if the kayak is filled with an adapted paddle holder that allows the usable arm to paddle with both ends of the kayak paddle. Disabled paddlers with very limited ability to move their limbs have to be lowered into the kayak with a Hoyer lift. The standard cockpit opening is often too small and unsuitable.
