Title: Skating Support
Description: Tetra volunteers designed and built this skating support harness so 10-year-old Kade could get out on the ice to play hockey. Since a standard parachute-type harness did not work for him, Ottawa Tetra volunteers and the Technical Department of the Earl of March High School created a metal frame for under a unicycle seat. This was suspended by adjustable straps and carabiner clips to the standard hooks of the a Kaye Trainer frame - allowing comfortable support for skating. The position of the straps give vertical support for the boy, leaving his arms and hands free for holding a hockey stick.
